Me? Roman Valentine?? Posting a day late? Yeah that’s just how I roll. Oracles. As I mentioned earlier this month, I love oracle decks. I love using them for energy and also in spell work. I love setting intentions, diving from them... it’s all work I love to do. But I’m also kind of an oracle snob. Okay, I may be an all around deck snob, but I’m especially an oracle snob. I like my decks balanced, no light or shadow leaning unless I’m using it for affirmations or it’s specifically intended for shadow work. Most oracle decks are more affirmation decks, which I do use under the right circumstances. However, I mainly use oracles in divination so I end up being picky. This year, I want to add to my oracle collection quite a bit! I want to have an equal number of oracle and tarot decks so I can mix and match them all up. Now, as for decks I’m working with more this year. The honest truth is there’s only one oracle deck I have that I don’t work with regularly: Cosmos Tarot & Oracle. This was my first ever deck. It still holds a place in my heart, and I still love the art. However, I tend to find it hard to use this deck since it’s an oracle with a tarot structure. I want to use it more though! This deck is gorgeous, and gives stunning readings. I’m hoping to do a bit of compare-contrast and mythology work with constellations between this deck and Compendium of Constellations. I feel like getting to know them both, as well as learning about the myths and reasons behind the constellations will help me use this deck more, as well as find out how it’s best used.
