End of 2017 Tarot Wishlist

I’m back from depression hell! Sorta. Either way, I’m ready to actually get back into the swing of tarot and Hellenismos and I think a great way to do that is list all the gorgeous decks I’m drooling over!

The Wooden Tarot

This deck is one I’ve actually been lusting over since I first decided I wanted to try out tarot! For some reason, I’ve never actually given in and bought it. It looks stunning, I love the slightly creepy surrealism to it and the wood grain. I’m considering getting myself this as a post Yule “congrats for giving a fuck” gift. Perhaps with the oracle deck the artist made too... 

Peintures du Monde Tarot

Oh my gods... a classical art tarot?? With two women on The Lovers card?? This deck is stunning- I love classical art and I think the choices made for this deck are beautiful. Looking at the cards and works chosen, they really do seem to match up.

The Marigold Tarot

When I saw this mentioned in the Vent witchcraft group, I had to google it and I fell in love. This deck has such a beautiful vibe! It’s both full of life and full of death and to me, that’s a great thing. I’m a big believer in the death positivity movement and seeing a deck that seems to echo those values makes me so happy. This deck is definitely one of those must-haves for me!

Compedium Of Constellations

Here’s another must-have for me! While not tarot, I couldn’t leave it out since it’s got two things I love in it: astronomy and watercolors! Seriously, this deck is just beautiful to look at and it’s pure constellations. As someone who loves to just stargaze, I feel like this is such a perfect deck for daily draws and for if you’re big into astrology.

Slutist Tarot

Finally a sex-positive tarot deck I actually feel drawn to that isn’t focused on cishets! Like no offensive but as a lesbian, it’s not super fun for me to read tarot when the depictions are all (pretty ugly) men taking charge of women. I love the colors in this deck, and I love seeing women with different body types shown as sexual, not fetishized. This deck is certainly going to be in my collection. I’m 100% sure my girlfriend will appreciate it.

Also, as someone with an Empress birthcard I love it being changed to Whore! That’s my kinda deck!

She Wolfe Tarot

Now this is a dream deck. I haven’t seen much of this deck but it already seems so powerful. It feels almost like a spiritual companion to The Starchild Tarot. Where Starchild is air, She Wolfe is fire. Starchild is the future, She Wolfe is the past. It’s so stunning and I’m certainly going to be getting her.

The Ethereal Visions Tarot

This deck is just stunning. I adore Art Nouveau and this deck is the first one based on the style that I feel connected to. Most of them feel very forced, but this one is so natural and I’m extremely excited for its release!
